Privacy Policy for RE-ANCHOR EXPORT

Overview

RE-ANCHOR EXPORT is a browser extension that allows users to export their conversations from ChatGPT and Google Gemini to Google Docs or download them locally as HTML/TXT files. This privacy policy explains what data I handle and how I protect your privacy.

Data Collection

I do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. The extension operates entirely within your browser and only processes data that you explicitly choose to export.

Data Processing

When you use RE-ANCHOR EXPORT, the following occurs locally in your browser:

• The extension reads the conversation content from the active ChatGPT or Gemini tab only when you click the export button
• Conversation text and metadata are temporarily processed in your browser's memory
• For Google Docs export: The data is sent directly from your browser to Google's servers using your authenticated Google account
• For local downloads: Files are created and saved directly to your device

Google Authentication

When exporting to Google Docs, the extension uses Google OAuth 2.0 authentication:

• You sign in with your own Google account
• The extension requests permission to create documents and upload files to your Google Drive
• Authentication tokens are stored temporarily in your browser and are never sent to our servers
• You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings

Permissions Used

• activeTab: To read conversation content from the current tab
• downloads: To save files locally to your device
• identity: To authenticate with Google for Docs export
• storage: To temporarily store settings in your browser
• Host permissions: To access ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google APIs

Third-Party Services

The extension interacts with:

• Google Docs API: create documents in your Google Drive (only when chosen)
• Google Drive API: upload images/attachments when present (only when chosen)

Data Security

• All data processing happens locally in your browser
• No conversation data is ever sent to my servers
• Google Docs exports use secure HTTPS connections directly to Google
• I do not have access to your exported documents or Google account

Data Retention

The extension does not retain any conversation data after export. Data exists only temporarily in browser memory during the export process and is immediately cleared after completion.

Updates

This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes in the extension's functionality. Updates will be noted with a new "Last Updated" date.
